HERZLIYA, Israel – With Hamas signaling it is willing to enter a cease-fire with Israel, it was the U.S.-backed Fatah party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas whose so-called military wing took responsibility for a barrage of rockets and mortars fired from the Gaza Strip today.

Fatah's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades called WND and also released an official pamphlet to take credit for firing at least five rockets and four mortars today, lightly wounding two Israeli soldiers and one civilian. Also taking responsibility was a cell claiming it was working on behalf of the Iranian-backed, Hamas-allied Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.

Well Lookee what we have here !

Does this mean that the US is complicit because they are funding Fatah ?

Doesn't the whole of the west pour money into that place in aid?

Who makes and sells them the weapons?

I heard that the Brits are the biggest manufacturers and exporter of military weapons in 2007. That was reported by the BBC...I can't find the article I am looking for it is at my old group...but here is one.

http://www.finfacts.ie/irishfinancenews/article_1013946.shtml

The UK was the top global arms exporter in 2007, winning a UK record £10 billion (€13bn; $19bn) of new business and a 33% market share, according to figures announced by UK Trade & Investment’s Defence and Security Organisation (UKTI DSO) on Tuesday.........

.......The Middle East and North America remained the UK’s most profitable regional markets, with Saudi Arabia and the USA respectively the top customers.

It is almost like America supplies the aid and the Brits supply the ammo....SICK...

When you have too much you intend to waste it.
USA - Money
UK - Ammo
Epicentre of conflict always has enough people to die.

To me, there are some things WORSE than death and that is what war talk ignores....they talk too much about death tolls in news stories....[who the hell cares about the death of someone you don't know?] without graphically showing what it is like to be maimed and live, especially seriously maimed, does to not only a person's life, but their economy....including ours......The American media are to blame there when they show "how well wounded soldiers do coping with their new lives."  They ONLY show a positive 30 seconds and then the life of a soldier is dismissed....and the maimed civilians are only wheeled out for "show and tell"  when there is a fund raising exercise like, "send money to a Cambodian orphanage" or something.

THAT is why I loathe war.....that, and great works of art or architecture are destroyed.

The defence contractors give kickbacks to politicians. If there is no war then there is no earning.

You think Palestine is a leopard, do you?

I guess that is a good way of looking at it.

What do you think will become of the ME overall?
