I’ve got one to relate but not much time to write but I’ll give it a go. It is my husbands hunting story and I wasn’t there but I’ve heard the story 100 times and will do my best to relate it here.

We had hunting dogs [Rhodesian Ridgebacks] and for fun we used to run them through the bush where they usually chased rabbits and  occasionally kangaroos, depending where we ran them.

One of the posters at the M$N groups called BuzzockStubble bought two puppies from my first 2 litters and when they were about 6 yrs old, Kurt and Buzz took Buzzes dogs Selous [pronounced Sa-loo] and Cloe [a female] [I think Cloe went but I’m not sure about that so I’ll say she did, anyway] pig hunting in our Darling Ranges……well Kurt was unarmed and there were no wide tree trunks handy when the two dog started getting excited and crossing each other's paths because they could smell fresh living pigs….Well then all of a sudden, Selous flushed two of the pigs out of the bush and one came charging towards Kurt ….Kurt **** himself because he had nothing to protect himself with and never thought they’d ever come across elusive pigs, anyway,  ….although there were always signs of pigs everywhere, he wasn’t prepared for meeting any.

Buzz, whose real name is Peter, jumped on the pig and started thrusting his heart with a knife over and over again  ….Kurt was mortified at not only the way Peter was killing it but Kurt had never seen anything be killed like that before or since….Peter is right into hunting and Kurt isn’t but still loves running through the bush, chasing things down…the dogs love it the most, naturally.

Well they threw this big black male pig into the boot of the car and brought him home….with pride Peter opened his boot to show me the poor thing   ….Kurt never really recovered from watching Peter stab this pig to death and they never went hunting together again although we always took the dogs for long runs through the bush, chasing rabbits.

LMMFAO.  I've heard stories about wild boar.
They are ruthless.  That's too funny.  My husband
and son went.  They each got one & they also each
took a ram.  The last hunt they went on was in Maine
& they each got a bear.

Australia would be a dream come true for them.

Got any rooms for rent?   Wink
