I want this movie in my collection. I believe Alan Alda is a genius. He has won awards for writing, acting and producing and is the only person to have won awards in all three categories….He is just a brilliant man.
We were treated tonight on our ABC with “Same Time Next Year” and last year I was speaking to Hellstrom about it….and whallah, it comes on TV….I haven’t seen it for years and years…..I cannot count them.
Youtube had the opening scenes to this classic, classic romance about a couple who meet once a year to cheat on their partners….sounds sordid but it isn’t like that at all…
But please listen to the theme music to this classic….it is so, so beautiful….

You know I've heard of this movie but I've never seen it.
I talked about it last year on my msn group to you.
I was affronted when I first saw it because it is a movie about adultery but it was handled really well and had some genuine comical moments....for instance, every year she came to see him, she had altered her hair and one time she came 8 months pregnant.....when you think about it, they lived a married life that was put on fast forward ....he was in shock when he saw her go from being thin to being 8 months pregnant....LOL |
