I have long been a fan of Gone with the Wind! The first time I read it I was 15 and I read it twice I loved it so much. I read it long before I ever saw the movie. The movie leaves out a lot.
yes, the book is fabulous.. I love it. But there is a comment in it where it says, (about the whites), that if a woman says she was raped, the family would rather kill her than allow people to know she was raped...and that seems to be how many cultures still are today (Muslims)... it brings shame on not only the victim but the family to.
its all very sad, a wrong... and what you're saying about women on the other board fabricating events so they'll have better odds in courts is diabolical towards other genuine cases...false allegations is so wrong... it causes people to wonder if a genuine case really is genuine.
