So who still reckons we don't get HIV infected males from Africa??  And a well educated teacher with a Masters Degree in Education, no less.  Pity he ignored the education about HIV/Aids.  It proves you just can't trust ANY African male.

Who also doesn't believe that these brutes set out to deliberately infect innocent women??

And what's wrong with the courts ... a miserly 2 years and 3 months for destroying another human's life!!  I think we should lock up the judge for his callousness and incompetence!

I knew I had HIV, jailed man admits

AN HIV-positive Victorian man who knowingly infected a woman will spend at least two years and three months behind bars.
Wepukhulu Zebtek, 44, from Ivanhoe in Melbourne, was sentenced in the West Australian District Court today.

He pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm in court in October, admitting to having sex with a Perth woman in 2007 while aware he had HIV.

She later tested positive to the virus.

Originally from Uganda, Zebtek had befriended the woman, a widow who had fled Sudan for Uganda before coming to Australia.

He spoke to her in her native tongue of Swahili as she walked home from the train after her cleaning job in November 2007.

A few days later Zebtek met her again while she was walking home from the train.

He insisted on driving her home but instead took her to his Bayswater home, in Perth's east, where they had sex.

The court was told Zebtek, who had known he was HIV positive since 1993, did not wear a condom and did not tell the woman he had the life-threatening virus.

A victim impact statement from the woman that was read to the court said since being infected with the virus, "it has affected everything in my life".

The court heard Zebtek was an intelligent man, who held a masters degree in education and had worked as a teacher in Uganda.

He was counselled by the Victorian Department of Health in 2002 after several reports he was having unprotected sex with women other than his wife.

He was given comprehensive and clear evidence about the risk of unprotected sex and was told he must practise safe sex.

In sentencing, Judge Allan Fenbury said Zebtek bad displayed "extremely selfish behaviour" and his actions were both appalling and disgraceful.

He said Zebtek chose not to tell the woman because he thought she would not have sex with him otherwise.

"You gave your own need of sexual gratification over the health of a human being," Judge Fenbury said.

He said he had an enormous amount of sympathy for the victim, who now requires treatment every day of her life to prevent the onset of AIDS.

Judge Fenbury said the sentence would deter other carriers of the HIV virus from not informing their sexual partners.

Zebtek was sentenced to four-and-a-half years' jail and will be eligible for parole in two years and three months.

He had faced a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment.

Tell me again, how we benefit from bringing this scum into the country.
