I've retired the 'Omnia' nic over at TDT.
It was there that I first started writing as Omnia . . .
6 years ago, I was writing crap poetry (
I know, I know things haven't changed)
when the unbelievable happened.
Another poster on a forum had the cheek to insult me. ME!
Off I ran to find an insult from my good buddy Google.
Instead I found the Flame Boards.
I'd never read writing styles like it before,
all the characters were huge and I couldn't get enough of them.
I was like a kid in a sweet shop . . . I couldn't choose a favourite, I loved them all.
I was hooked.
Omnia was born,
I very carefully dipped my big toe into the corner to see
if I was a total waste of time and space on the flame boards.
Of course I was.
But I didn't let that stop me . . .
During the last 6 years I've met with some 'interesting' responses,
but despite the threats to my body and sanity,
I've continued to face the 'slings and arrows' and found that . . . I've quite enjoyed it all!
The Omnia nic allowed me to write in a style I'd never known ~
But time marches on,
and I think perhaps 'Omnia' has finished with me,
and maybe now is the right time to hang up her pen.
