Send water to Perth WA, we've had the driest spell on record....119 days without rain of any kind..

Here you go....

Red at night
 Sheppards delight

Meaning, another day of pretend clouds that no one will see a drop of moisture from

Our drought just ended with a big bang…..hail, 117 km wind gusts, lightening,  beautiful, beautiful rain….16,000 homes without power and domestic flights have been cancelled.

I tried to get shots of lightening but alas, its too quick for me…

People probably don't know what its like to have a drought break and relief it brings....its also the biggest storm in a decade in Perth...hail was smashing car windows of commuters coming home from work

and there is one more coming up...I just took it.

nitey nite little Perthites... you don't have to water tonight....

Well I went outside to sit on my veranda which faces the storm but I have an old leather chesterfield lounge out there and some clear sheeting up to look at my out view and I was driven inside from the ferocity of it… anyway, its made the national news…..it went very dark when the huge cluster of clouds went over spitting out lightning and thunder and huge hail stones,… I ate one….lol...

Here is the flood damage JB…. You obviously don’t know what a flash flood means…lol

another storm is coming...  Hail caused a lot of damage last night.....that is why I chose a tin roof instead of tiles... I see what happens to tile roofs in the E.S. when they get a hail storm....we got the total of 3 months worth of average rainfall, for this time of year, dumped on us in one hour... :giggle: It was awesome but scary at the same time..

I posted this picture # 59 in this thread earlier during the storm, inbetween being cut off the net...lol...you cannot get news fresher than that...lol

A website has now sprung..."I Survied Perth's Storm"....lol[/b]

Cask, you have the most beautiful
sunsets and scenery.  WOW.  I love
looking at your sky pics.  Just lovely.

It's warm out but a little cloudy.  I've
been sick for 3 days so I'm not enjoying
the weather.  This is my 3rd day in bed.

Tornado warnings for this area again tonight.

The last tornado here was about 2 miles west of town 5 or 6 years ago - we're not a "tornado prone" area.

well our days have been sunny... the nights chilly and there was a bit of rain before daybreak today....

August is the shittiest month here... its so cold unless it rains... the rain is warm but when there is no rain, its just a nasty dry cold.

there weather isn't as predictable anywhere, anymore.

While Perth suffered the hottest, driest November on record, the East coast of Australia are in the grip of floods and the towns are evacuated….

Yesterday I had a BBQ at my sisters place and it was overcast and we were told it was going to rain… well, we got nothing. It’s very depressing to see rain type clouds just pass on by….

A few moments ago, we go the tiniest sprinkle from a sky that is still overcast however, that sent the cockies into a frenzy and they tried to suck some moisture of the air…. There was about a hundred flying around and sitting on my roof but about 35 sitting on the neighbours aerial…. Its so cool having native birds buzzing around the suburbs but they have no choice. The surban sprawl is taking their habitat and they’re coming closer to Fremantle as the trees near me are large and established.
