they grow really quick...they're over a week old...I am amazed that the mother took to them but I had heard Bantams are excellent mothers....

that bantam belonged to my deceased BIL....we got his chickens + 1 bantam.....and added them to our flock...the bantam doesn't hang with the other chickens and makes a real racket at times....now she isn't lonely anymore.

Cute chicks! I'll bet they're big now.

It was a beautiful November day today with temps in the 50's.  Last year we
had snow at this time - normal weather for this area.

The temp has gone back up - it's 9.1F/-12.7C.

At least there was only a small amount of snow so far today.

That's a six foot plus fence.  It's actually a privacy fence, I think the snow
makes it look low.  LOL  Yes, my place backs to the woods.  Maybe 500 acres
of woods but they have plans to build which sucks donkey balls.  I like having
the woods behind me.  That's where the bears hang out.  We've got pics
of a big black bear very near to my fence.  Lots of deer back there too.
I've seen wild turkey and lots of wood peckers in the spring and summer.

try and stop them taking that forrest....

organize the neighbourhood to stop it.....they MUST stop taking natural nature corridors...

I spent most of today in bed with a migraine but its 11.30 pm now and I took a brufen an hour ago....it means I will be up all night now cuz I slept most of the day...
