While Perth suffered the hottest, driest November on record, the East coast of Australia are in the grip of floods and the towns are evacuated….

Yesterday I had a BBQ at my sisters place and it was overcast and we were told it was going to rain… well, we got nothing. It’s very depressing to see rain type clouds just pass on by….

A few moments ago, we go the tiniest sprinkle from a sky that is still overcast however, that sent the cockies into a frenzy and they tried to suck some moisture out of the air…. There was about a hundred flying around and sitting on my roof but about 35 sitting on the neighbours aerial…. Its so cool having native birds buzzing around the suburbs but they have no choice. The surban sprawl is taking their habitat and they’re coming closer to Fremantle as the trees near me are large and established.
