That is a hard one to pull off.
It fools the same sex but doesn't fool the opposite sex.
If you are a male and pretend to be a female, there are certain things women would not say. That goes for men too.
How long were people fooled?

There are some female posters on the boards that 'share' their nic with a male.
Even though the male tries to copy the female 'style' there's always the essence of the male in the post.
If they write short posts it's not always easy to catch, but on a longer post you can spot it,
especially if it's a poster who you 've read over a long period of time.
