Witnesses testify in albino trial 
Many people with albinism are living in fear in Burundi
Witnesses have testified in the case of 11 men in Burundi, accused of the attempted murder of albino people and selling of their body parts.
Initial charges of murder have been dropped because the prosecution failed to produce enough evidence.
Police suspect the body parts are being sold in neighbouring Tanzania, for use in witchcraft.
Forty-six albino people have been murdered in Tanzania in the past 18 months, but no-one has been convicted.
But the violence against albinos is not restricted to Tanzania; last November a six-year-old albino girl in Burundi was found dead with her head and limbs removed.

Witchdoctors in the region are known to tell clients that potions made with albino body parts will bring them luck in love, life and business.

That is Africa for you.
Years and years back....and I cannot tell you what the name of the documentary was but there was an Albino pygmy on it....she was fairly old and her hair seemed a ginger colour but her skin was in pretty bad condition. She had nasty sores all over her obviously from sun damage and maybe parasites.
Black magic is rife in Africa and ALL of them practice it...even the highly educated...

It is about time people to realize their aid money NEVER reaches the poor kids they put up on our TV's in religious programs asking for money....
your aid money goes to the various armies fighting their stupid civil wars.
They confiscate aid goods as well and flog it to the people for money...in turn they use the money to buy arms.
EVERYONE with a heart wants to help the kids but reality is we cannot. The only solution is if our governments demand of their governments to look after their citizens and keep the presure on.
