Title: No Gift For Poetry Post by: Outlawed on June 19, 2008, 04:34:16 am Alas I have no gift for poetry
My face is smooth but very blotchy If only I could just write one decent poem I wouldn't feel like such a hairy possum ;D Title: Re: No Gift For Poetry Post by: Omnia on June 26, 2008, 05:38:24 am This is raw and searingly analytical writing.
Fantastic, a modern wonder of literary composition. O ~ Title: Re: No Gift For Poetry Post by: caskur on June 26, 2008, 10:12:12 am It sure beats the poem I learned when I was 10.

The Lightning Flashed. The Tree Fell Down. The Frog got smashed. Title: Re: No Gift For Poetry Post by: caskur on June 29, 2008, 01:52:26 pm The Thunder Roared. The Lightning Flashed. The Tree Fell Down. The Frog got smashed. One time I was driving home from the country and it was the high heat of summer and there has been some rain from a thunder storm and for about a mile, I figure, the roads were covered in frogs. I had no option but to drive over them. I was grossed out as I squashed frogs all over the countryside. I will never forget that as long as I live. Don't Aussies drive over Cane Toads as a matter of course, the evil bastards (The Cane Toads that is) Title: Re: No Gift For Poetry Post by: caskur™ on July 06, 2008, 10:10:51 pm Cane Toads infest Queensland and now they've invaded the top end of Australia. It has become a critical situation. I don't know if Queenslanders drive over them. If they did that, wouldn't they be endanger of driving over native species as well? Maybe a Queenslander could answer that question cuz I sure as hell can't. |
