I loved the movie, but as an American raised on the idea that no one has a divine right to rule, it left me with a curiosity and lingering unrest about England's acceptance of the continuing dynasty.
I watched all the extra features, which were quite interesting. So, I went exploring a bit more deeply into the royal family and ended up here: http://www.princeofwales.gov.uk/finances/index.html From there I explored the Duchy of Cornwall. Sounds kind of feudal to me. However, it left me wanting to visit the Duchy of Cornwall and I have never had an urge to visit England before. Yes, a lot of people are ignorant about the Queens powers... usually the stupid media like to beat the monoarchy up.
