Title: I love Seagulls Post by: caskur™ on May 31, 2009, 12:05:13 am I love birds….I love how wild birds learn to come in for a feed…. When I was a kid, my mother always bought fresh bread everyday and never ate bread older than a day….that was because her father, [my grandfather] owned a bakery and was a baker but he died when I was 10…..so if the bread wasn’t used up and there were left over bits that accumulated, my mother would drive us down to the river in winter and let us feed the seagulls….there was never enough bread to feed them all no matter how much I tried to give each one a little bit….anyway, the big thrill for me back then was that flocks across the river would see the commotion and fly across to join in.
