Since the subject has turned to awesome, try this youtube of a hippo trying to save a small deer.
She rescues the baby from a crocodile and then tries to revive it and it isn't even an animal of its own kind which is unbelievable.
The only explanation I can conceive is that the hippo is a recent grieving mother. Maybe her baby died by crocs.
This one is poignant.
