I bought in low grade area surrounded by wealthier suburbs 21 yrs ago and now the part I live in has been redeveloped and because new houses replaced cottages they match the wealthier suburbs or are worth more. I knew the land I was buying was worth a packet,....... The house next door to my mother is going for 700,000... its backyard has a 2 story house on it and the one for sale doesn't even have garage... just a 3 bedroom brick and tile 1960's house on it..... I want to buy it..... where my mother lives at one time, people were dividing their blocks of land for extra money and poeple were building 2 story houses in their backyards.... sub-dividing
